Here's a great opportunity to learn about Bible translation and all the other work God accomplishes through LBTC.
Come to our Annual Meeting
Required by law, LBTC voting members and guests attend the Annual Meeting to learn about the missionaries and translation projects with which LBTC is engaging. Business including the financial status of the organization is kept brief.
Only voting members who have signed in when they arrived at the Annual Meeting may vote. However, LBTC invites everyone to consider voting membership so the next time you attend, you will be able to participate in the meeting.
In 2011, the Annual Meeting will take place at St John Lutheran Church, Pembroke on Saturday April 2 before the dinner. Please read on...
Translation Encounter 2011: An Evening with Marshall Gillam
After the dinner on April 2, LBT Executive Director Marshall Gillam will explain his role and that of Lutheran Bible Translators as an international organization.
There was no charge for the meal; instead a freewill offering - fully eligible for tax creditability - was suggested. This offering was generously matched in part by FaithLife Financial, a long time partner in LBTC's work. Knowing how matching grants work to our organization's benefit, many dinner guests presented LBTC with some very generous gifts in order to meet the requirements to obtain the full grant.
Why not plan to meet other supporters of Lutheran Bible Translators of Canada at the next Annual Meeting? For more details, contact us.
