Annual Meeting

Here's a great opportunity to learn about Bible translation and all the other work God accomplishes through LBTC.

Come to our Annual Meeting

Required by law, LBTC voting members and guests attend the Annual Meeting to learn about the missionaries and translation projects with which LBTC is engaging. Business including the financial status of the organization is kept brief.

Only voting members who have signed in when they arrived at the Annual Meeting may vote. However, LBTC invites everyone to consider voting membership so the next time you attend, you will be able to participate in the meeting.

In 2010, the Annual Meeting will take place at Holy Cross Lutheran Church on Saturday April 24 before the main event for the evening when you will meet the guest speakers and enjoy a variety of entertainment. Please read on.

Translation Encounter 2010: Botswana

LBTC invites anyone interested in Bible translation to attend this evening which also will take place at Holy Cross Lutheran Church on Saturday April 24. Rob and Eshinee Veith, LBT vernacular specialist and translation advisor respectively, will be the evening's guest speakers.

The evening begins with a relaxing fellowship and banquet. There is no charge for the meal; instead a freewill offering - fully eligible for tax creditability - is suggested. This offering is generously matched in part by FaithLife Financial, a long time partner in LBTC's work. Knowing how matching grants work to our organization's benefit, many visitors present LBTC with some very generous gifts in order to meet the requirements to obtain the full grant.

Though still in the early planning stages, entertainment will be interspersed with the meal. Our guest speakers will tell us about their work. Visitors have a chance to discuss the future of LBTC with fellow supporters and chat with staff and Board members as well as retired missionaries.
