Here's a great opportunity to learn about Bible translation and all the other work God accomplishes through LBTC.
Come to our Annual Meeting
Required by law, LBTC voting members and guests attend the Annual Meeting to learn about the missionaries and translation projects with which LBTC is engaging. Business including the financial status of the organization is kept brief.
Only voting members who have signed in when they arrived at the Annual Meeting may vote. However, LBTC invites everyone to consider voting membership so the next time you attend, you will be able to participate in the meeting.
In 2010, the Annual Meeting took place at Holy Cross Lutheran Church on Saturday April 24 before the main event for the evening when voting members and dinner guests met the guest speakers and enjoyed a variety of entertainment. Please read on...
Translation Encounter 2010: Botswana
The same evening, Rob and Eshinee Veith, LBT vernacular specialist and translation advisor respectively, were the evening's guest speakers.
The evening began with a relaxing fellowship and banquet. There was no charge for the meal; instead a freewill offering - fully eligible for tax creditability - was suggested. This offering was generously matched in part by FaithLife Financial, a long time partner in LBTC's work. Knowing how matching grants work to our organization's benefit, many dinner guests presented LBTC with some very generous gifts in order to meet the requirements to obtain the full grant.
Why not plan to meet other LBTC supporter of the work of Lutheran Bible Translators of Canada at the next Annual Meeting? For more details, contact us.
